In order to ensure proper adhesion, the areas in need of repair must be free of “standing” water and other contaminants. For achieving optimal results, we recommend priming the subsurface with ESTOL C40B5-S. To support and accelerate the hardening process in dry weather, the material can be sprayed with water (approximately 0.5 l per 25 kg of mix) pri- or to compressing (32 x 25 kg of metal contai- ners available per pallet). Makabit+ can be ap- plied with a layer thickness of between 1 and 5 cm. Deeper segments can be filled with crushed stone or gravel or simply apply Makabit+ in mul- tiple layers.
Makabit+ is a cold-processed, directly installab- le, single-component repair material. It can be processed directly from the container without the need for additives. In order to ensure proper adhesion, the areas in need of repair must be free of “standing” water and other contaminants. For achieving optimal results, we recommend Makabit+ can be taken directly from the contai- ner and poured into the pothole, with a bit extra heaped on top. After this, first hammer down and then compress with a vibrating plate or stamper. The repaired area will immediately be ready for traffic once sand has been strewn across it. Nor- mal road traffic will provide the final compres- sion.
Makabit+ can be stored in its original container for up to 12 months - in a cool, dry place and not outdoors. The temperature range for installati- on is -20 to +40°C. For improved processing in winter temperatures, we recommend storing Ma- kabit+ in temperature-controlled areas between 10 and 15°C.
