ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound
Application
ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound is ideal for sealing gaps in asphalt surfaces.
Repair of cracks bigger than about 5 mm or gaps up to 15 mm wide.
ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound is installed flush with the ground. This way no smooth bitumen strips develop on the street surface.
 

Properties

ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound is cold workable.
ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound adheres well to joint flanks.
ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound seals the gap permanently thereby preventing further damage.
ESTOL-Flexosan is also ideal for concrete surfaces (technical consulting required).

Installation

The surface must be dry and free of dust and dirt.
If the gap is cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner, ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound can be installed only after everything has dried.
Use ESTOL-C40BF1-S or ESTOL-Primer as a base-coat if there is residual dust on the flanks. Stir ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound before use.
Pour ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound flush with the ground and if necessary, strip away "sharply" over the joint using a rubber squeegee.
Cover the treated joint with dry crusher dust immediately after treating. After the work is complete, the area can be immediately opened for traffic.

Supply/Storage

ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound is available in 10 kg plastic containers. 48 containers are packed onto one pallet.
ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound should be stored in a cool, dry place - and not outdoors - at a temperature of at least 10 °C.
ESTOL-Cold Sealing Compound can be stored in it unopened original container for a maximum of six months.
Use up partially empty containers as quickly as possible.
